Episode 1 – What is Design Thinking? 

In the first episode of Design Thinking in Education, you will hear what design thinking is and how students react to this approach. Daniek Bosch your host is joined by Min Cho, a teacher, an expert in global health and international development at Leiden University College and Nadia Teunissen an expert in design thinking and a teacher. Min and Nadia have taught the class Design for the future, wicked environmental problems in sustainability and health.

Episode 2 – The Teacher and Design Thinking 

In the second episode of Design Thinking in Education, Daniek Bosch continues her conversation with Min Cho and Nadia Teunissen around the role of the teacher in design thinking in education.  Min Cho, is a teacher, an expert in global health and international development at Leiden University College and Nadia Teunissen is an expert in design thinking and a teacher, have taught the class Design for the future, wicked environmental problems in sustainability and health.

Episode 3 – Designing your Life 

In the third episode of Design Thinking in Education, Daniek Bosch is joined by Bram Hoonhout a coordinator of the Honours College of Leiden University. They discuss challenges for teachers in teaching design thinking and how you can use design thinking to design your life.

Episode 4 – Teaching Styles and Design vs Science 

In the fourth episode of Design Thinking in Education, Daniek Bosch is joined by Annebeth Simonsz, an educational advisor at humanities shares her experience with the pre-university college class ‘urban design lab’, where high school students tackled a societal problem with design thinking. In this episode, they discuss different styles of teaching in design thinking and how the scientific process and design thinking are actually quite similar.

In the final episode of Design Thinking in Education, Daniek Bosch is joined by two students share their experience during the tackling inequalities class. They share what projects they worked on and what they’ve learned in this design thinking process.
